Resilience

The first half of this webinar will provide a brief history of the study of resilience and an overview of current key definitions of resilience. A summary of resilience traits and processes at the individual, family, and community levels will be provided, with special attention given to potential areas of intervention and prevention.

The second half of this webinar will present relevant evidence on the individual and ecological factors and processes that promote people’s resilience. A summary will also be provided of the strategies that can be implemented to build people’s capacity to cope with adversity and therefore, promote their mental health and wellbeing.
